Awaken interest for innovative concepts to provide energy by biogas from industrial residues - Interesse wecken für innovative Konzepte zur Energiebereitstellung durch Biogas aus Produktionsabfällen

The workshop held on 11th of June by ATRES and Cluster Ernährung in Freising, Germany is considered as important basis for further commitment in biogas production from meat industry

There were twenty representatives from meat processing industry being informed about the principals of biogas production. Gerhard Langhans, STRABAG SE, talked about the technical and process-related risks in digesting meat residues. The workshop was a platform to do simple calculations on the biogas potential of some selected substrates. This has to be followed by detailed calculations based on specific information on the respective substrates and site. Mr. Pesta, manager at ATRES stressed, that only holistic concepts are able to capture site-specific circumstances.

Biogas Science 2014 in Vienna, 26 October - 30 October 2014

The Organising Committee cordially invites experts interested in the field of anaerobic digestion to participate in the Biogas Science 2014 in Vienna. The conference will take place in the remarkable venue of the Schönbrunn palace from the 26th to 30th October 2014. The purpose of the Biogas Science 2014 conference is to provide a platform for scientific exchange of knowledge concerning technology, chemistry & biology and economy within the biogas area. The scientific programme will include plenary sessions and parallel sessions with invited lecturers and contributed papers. Scientific results will also be presented in poster sessions. Participants are invited to submit abstracts of their scientific papers for review here. There also is an open invitation to organise workshops during the course of the conference.
